| On Sunday June 2 2013, members of the Red Knights Pa 2 met at the Ridge Fire Company Chester County Station 62 for the 3rd Annual Ride for Hero's motorcycle ride.
Joe Inzone, co-owner of Benny's Pizza in West Chester, organized the ride to bring awareness to the dangers first responders and emergency personnel face daily. Benny's Pizza held this benefit for the Chester County Hero Fund which provides financial aid to Police, Fire and EMS personnel injured or killed in the line of duty.
Chester County Hero Fund was started in 2001, Founder and fund President John DiBuonaventuro said the supporters are happy to have people such as Inzone contribute to their fund, and they have seen a lot of positive support from the community through events such as this one.
The ride started at Ridge Fire Company and safely traveled through Northern Chester County. The ride was escorted by the Chester County Sheriff's Department and local police departments, and volunteer fire police closed and controlled all intersections during the ride.
The rides ended at Benny's Pizza were food was served and everyone got a chance to enjoy Super Sunday in West Chester. On behalf of all the responders here and Chester County we would like to again thank Joe Inzone for his continued support to the Hero's Fund. |
