On Sunday August 15 2010 member of the Red Knights chapter 2 traveled to the Green Ridge Fire Company in Delaware County to take part in a memorial ride for one of their own that lost a long battle with cancer a year ago.

On September 22 2009 Dave Evans Sr. passed away after a long battle with cancer. Evans was affiliate with the Green Ridge Fire Company and was a past Chief / Life Member of the Chester Township Fire Company (Station 47) and a member of the Brookhaven Fire Company (Station 52).Dave Evens Sr. had a love for riding motorcycle, it was that love that drove his brothers to have this ride in Dave's memory.

The morning started with registration from 9 to 11am. At 11:15 kick stands went up taking a 40 mile police assorted ride through Delaware and Chester Counties ending up back at Green Ridge. At the conclusion of the ride lunch was provided to all participants, during lunch there was music and fellowship between riders many remembering the good time they had with Dave in the past, a video of some of those times played in the back of the room.

Rain shower threatened the ride all day with a few sprits here and there, all in all the day was dry and around 50 riders showed up in support to the Evans family. The Red Knights would like to thank the Evans family for setting up this wonderful event in Dave memory and know he would have enjoyed that ride.

The Red Knights also have to send a big thank you out to the Aston Police and all others that help escort the ride, This ride went through allot of high traffic / business districts and not once did riders have to put our feet down to stop, a wonderful job done by all.
