| On Saturday May 12 2012 members from the Red Knights Chapters 2 & 17 meet up at the Wawa at Routes 10 and 30. Both Chapters were meeting to head to breakfast at the Bart Fire Company in Lancaster County, after Breakfast they would then travel to Morgantown, Pa. to attend the Twin Valley Fire Company Parade and Hosing. Once arriving at Twin Valley club members got a chance to look at the emergency apparatus from all over and talk with old friend and make some new ones. The Twin Valley Fire Company is a new consolidation of both Morgantown Station 9 and Elverson station 32 the new station number is "69"At 1pm the parade kicked off and traveled down Route 23 pasting along the way the Old Morgantown Fire Company and Elverson Fire Company before ending up back at their new facility at the intersection of Route 23 & 401. After parading members enjoyed a wonderful meal provided by Twin Valley and got a chance to check out their new state of the art facility. Around 430 Awards were handed out and to our surprise the Red Knight's were awarded the judges award proudly accepted by Chapter 2 Quarter Master R.P. Scott. The officers and Members of both Chapters 2&17 would like to thank Twin Valley for the hospitality and wish them the best of luck with their new facility. |
