By President Frank Dowlin
July 4, 2013

Independents day is full of celebrations, parades, and of course fireworks, This year our chapter got together with Chapter 17 and attended the annual Pottstown 4th of July parade.

Chapter 2 and 17 meet up at 0745 at the Wawa on the east end of Pottstown before heading to have breakfast at the Goodwill Fire Company. The Goodwill put on a great spread of food including pancakes, french toast, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage and more, all proceeds from the breakfast and other events that day were being donated to the family's of our fallen comrades in Arizona.

Following breakfast it was off to line up, the parade started around 1015 at the intersection of High and Kiem streets and ended at Manatawny and High streets. Hundreds if not thousands of residents lined the streets waving their American flags, yelling kind words, and thanking not only the our group but all the participants making for a very enjoyable parade.

Following the parade both clubs took a break at a local park to hydrate and say good bye before heading home to be with their family's for the remainder of the day.
Chapter 2 would like to thank President Miller from Chapter 17 for the invite, we had a great time and look forward to riding together again in the near future.

In attendance from Chapter 2 was Frank Dowlin and daughter, Douglas Dowlin, Alex Davis, Keith Romig
