| On Saturday August 17 Members gathered at the Modena Fire Company which was the starting point for a benefit motorcycle ride for a local fire victim.
Back in March of this year the Lee family of Modena had and electrical fire in their residence. The fire gutted the second and third floors of the family's home. Over the past months a restoration company has be working to clean the house, however all that was done was the house was left unlivable and the family's insurance money is gone.
The Modena Church contacted President Dowlin about putting together a motorcycle run to help raise some money for the family.
The ride started here at the fire house and went 40 mile to a look out in Lancaster County, and then back to the Modena Park. At the park food was provided by the church to all riders and additional raffles were held to help Raise more money.
At the end of the day the Lee family were given all the money's raised, although not enough to rebuild a house it was defiantly a great jester from all involved and greatly appreciated by the family. |
