| On Saturday August 9th 2014 members of the Red Knights Pa Chapter 2 traveled to the Honeybrook Fire Company in Chester County to support one of our fellow firefighters Big Al Dove.
Big Al as everyone calls him was diagnosed and is fighting leukemia, Big Al has been in and out of the hospital during his treatments for several months now and the bill just keep coming as well. The Honeybrook Fire Company members have been there through it all with Big Al supporting him in every way you can think of, this ride and benefit was just one of the events over the past few months trying to help Big Al.
The ride started and ended at the Honeybrook Fire Company, after the 100 plus mile ride the participants were welcomed to the benefit/after party which included food, beverages, raffles, games, and a band " Sumthin Difrant".
The event was very successful and raise a good amount of money which was presented to Big Al at the end of the night which also happen to be his birthday. The other suppress present was the fire company members took his bike on Wednesday this week and told him it was getting detailed for today's event, the bike showed up today with a custom air brushed paint job (pictures below) on it making Big Al's day. |
